About me
Erik Jones ’91 graduated from W&L with a degree in English, and began his career in the arts as Box Office Manager at the Lenfest Center, spending two years under the tutelage of Mike Gorman. He then moved back to his hometown of Portland, Oregon, where he worked for ten years at the Oregon Symphony, first as Director of Ticketing, and then as Associate Marketing Director. Jones then worked for nine years at Oregon Ballet Theatre as Director of Marketing and Communication. In that role, he oversaw all advertising and public relations activity, and traveled with the company on national and international tours. In 2010, he returned to Lexington, working briefly as Marketing Director at the American Shakespeare Center before becoming the Executive Director of Fine Arts In Rockbridge. In 2019, he left that position to co-found Heliotrope Brewery.
